This paper contains a study of the Testacea in older and younger sediments of Lake Constance. Chief emphasis has been laid on faunistic composition and taxonomy. Moreover an attempt has been made to connect the different trophic levels of Lake Constance with the characteristic testacea-associations of the different lake-types proposed in 1965 by W. Schönborn, D. Flössner, G. Proft.
